Jesse Jameson
Jesse(y) Jameson is a demigod. She is a daughter of Apollo, the god of the Sun, archery, and prophecy. She is one of the deuteragonists in The Sacred Thievery. She is 13 years old, and was given oracular powers by Apollo. She is Timothy's best friend, even though they are so different.
Early Life[]
Jesse Jameson was born in an affair with Emma Jameson and the god Apollo on May 23, 2002. Her mother knew who Apollo was, and could see through the Mist, but didn't tell Jesse of this. When she was in 3rd grade, she befriended Timothy after a test he helped her out with. When she was 10 years old, her mother started dating a man named Johnson Hull, and he later became her stepfather. On the last day of her 7th grade year, Stymphalian birds attacked her school, and she, Leroy Thicket, a satyr and friend, and Timothy escaped and left for Camp Half-Blood.
Appearance and Personality[]
Jesse is taller than Timothy due to him being shorter than most. She has long ashy blond hair, and brown eyes. When at camp, she wears orange CHB shirts, blue jeans, and her favorite white sneakers. She also shoulders a quiver and slings a bow on her back.
Jesse is friendly to those who are close to her, but is wary of others. She is very impatient and can be reckless. She is also very curious, and hates secrets and being in the dark. Her voice tends to sound indignant and impatient, but she has a calmer side.
Magical Items[]
Jay: Jay is her magical arrow. When she was running from the Stymphalian birds in the school, she questioned Apollo and why he can't help her. In response, Apollo gave her a magical arrow made of gold with red fletching, and it killed most of the Stymphalian Birds, and was thought to be destroyed, but he magically returned to Jesse's pocket when she entered camp. It is sentient, able to speak and hear others. It can also fly and move incredibly quick, and can move without being shot by a bow.
Wooden Arrows: Herophile had the dryads of Aeithales fashion wooden arrows with the fletching of leaves a week before Jesse and Timothy arrive in Aeithales, and Lu gives them to Jesse before she, Timothy, and Meg leave, refilling her half-empty quiver, a gift Jesse appreciates.
Abilities[]
Prophecy: When in the Cave of the Oracle, Jesse displays the rare, virtually nonexistent ability of Apollo children, able to see and speak the future, and she spoke the prophecy that she and Timothy needed to go on their quest. She passed out afterward, and was later filled in on her ability. She can not control this ability, and may speak prophecies when they are needed and even repeat them.
Heat Resistance: Jesse can take high levels of heat, taking a full blast from Prometheus' flames in the Labyrinth and only coming out sweating and redder than usual. It also seems to have an effect on what she wears, as her arrows, quiver, and clothes only smoked after this.
Magical Accuracy: When she wills it, Jesse can make projectiles she launches always hit their target. When she does this, they give off a faint golden glow, and this power takes some of her strength. The projectiles can get stuck, though and eventually lose their power if immobile for too long.
