Irene Marsha Wright is the Demigod, Daughter of the Primordial Tartarus and a Legacy of Apollo, she is shown to be an experienced fighter and monster hunter, she mostly fights alone, but when she needs to she works with others. She appears in some small fanfictions where her personality differs, but none of them is canon, instead, her story is shown through the story Queen of Tartarus.


Appearance[]

Irene is shown to have long black hair like coal, Red eyes that glow when she is shown to be angry. She has small freckles dotted around her cheeks and pale skin. Her body is muscular from working out and fighting monsters. She mostly wears red hoodies and black jeans. When she is fighting, she dresses in a black armor that is dipped in the River Styx.

Personality[]

Irene is shown to care deeply for her friends and family. She can be easily angered. She is super smart and can be a better strategist than most demigods. She turns happy, sad, tense, and angry mostly at the same time throughout the stories.

She has strong anger issues, mostly getting easily provoked since she doesn't know her own strength, she almost kills the people she is angry at when she attacks them.

She shows a clear sense of trust issues because most of the demigods think that she is evil because of her father, so she mostly keeps to herself, but establishes strong relationships like with her mother, Bruce, and Apollo.

Backstory[]

Apollo, The God of the Sun, Prophecy, and Archery, meets Maureen Wright, Irene's mortal Grandmother, they have Minnie Wright, Irene's mother, as their child. Minnie manages to get to adulthood while at Camp Half-Blood and meets Tartarus while he is in the mortal world for the first time. They fall in love and have Irene Wright, their child.

Irene is raised without knowing her father or her heritage until she is 12, while she is in school, she struggled with anger issues, one time, she caused a student to go to the Hospital when they bullied her causing her to get expelled.

Role in Stories[]

Queen of Tartarus: Year One[]

Irene, thirteen-years-old, explains how she got to Camp Half-Blood, she brutally injures a bully and is expelled from her school. She is told by her mother and grandmother that she is going to a place that her mother went to when she was younger. She goes to Camp Half-Blood, but is treated as a outcast because she is unclaimed, but it is assumed that she is a demigod daughter of Apollo because of her excellent skills in poetry and archery. She later befriends Bruce Williams Jr, A Son of Hephaestus.

Apollo visits Camp Half-Blood and talks to Irene, he explains to her that she is not his daughter, but his Granddaughter. Causing Irene to realize her mother is a demigod daughter of Apollo. Apollo gives her a golden bow and tells her that they'll talk soon. Irene is plagued by nightmares in her sleep, when she wakes up she sees a pit symbol over her head. When she tells Bruce about this, he avoids her before Irene forces an answer out of him. Bruce tells her that she is the Demi-primordial daughter of Tartarus and that he doesn't know how she was born. They stay friends, even after the Camp avoids and turns against her, thinking that she is sent by her father as a spy. When two demigods of Apollo are attacked by Hellhounds, Irene goes over to help, but then discovers a new power, she can talk to monsters. She tells the Hellhounds to just follow her and not attack any demigods in Camp. On the last day on summer, Irene packs up and leaves as Bruce tells her that he'll build a cabin for her as the Tartarus Cabin. As she leaves, Irene looks back at camp and smiles.

Queen of Tartarus: Year Two[]

Irene, fourteen-years-old, has a small birthday party at the start of the summer.Her Grandfather, Apollo and friend from Camp, Bruce Williams Jr, joined in on the party. Apollo pulled Irene to the side and told her that he is issuing her a quest to go south to Georgia to discover her secret legacy demigod power. He also tells her that a trial in a Olympus is being placed to determine the fate on her life, it was supposed to happen the day she arrives to Camp, but Apollo convinced the Olympian council to push it to next year. Irene and Bruce go to Camp, Bruce shows Irene her new cabin, made from stone from the pits of Tartarus. They prepare for the quest, but they have a hard time finding a third companion for the quest, but they find one in Sunny, a nature spirit.

They head south for Georgia, when they arrive in Atlanta, they find one of Apollo's temples. Irene goes in and finds an empty book, where the words only appear when she touches the pages. The book's power goes into Irene, causing the temple to collapse. She sees a vision of Bruce being crushed by a stone pillar and she managed to save him at the last second. Sunny tells Irene that she got the gift of Prophecy, but it's more powerful because she is a legacy. Sunny reveals that she is a spy sent by the gods to spy on Irene before her upcoming trial. Sunny goes back to the gods and Irene and Bruce go back to Camp to spend the rest or the summer training and building swords.

Apollo reveals to Irene that he didn't know about Sunny being a spy, and he gives her a sun symbol necklace that teleport her to a godly safe house. He tells Irene her Prophecy powers allow her to create full cryptic prophecies and short glimpses into the future. He says through out the summer he'll teach her how to sue her new powers.

Irene later discovered she and Bruce not only are immune to fire, but they can control it. Irene gets a hug from Bruce before leaving Camp. As Irene falls asleep, she gets a conversation from her father Tartarus in her dreams. Tartarus tells Irene that he isn't evil, but only houses evil beings, and that while the monsters of the world won't hurt her, the gods will. He then tells her that she will soon be Queen of Tartarus.

Queen of Tartarus: Year Three[]

Part One[]

Irene, fifteen-years-old, is attacked by Ares while jogging home. She has been training with Apollo to train her new legacy power and can now predict the future, and she trains with Bruce to master her fire powers. Apollo and Bruce are in her house and Apollo tells Irene the trial as begun. He teleports Her and Bruce to Olympus outside the throne room. Irene and Bruce share a kiss, before entering the throne room to begin the trial. Athena shows evidence of Irene's violence and Anger, accusing her of being a spy for Tartarus. While Apollo and Bruce defends her, telling them that Irene didn't know about her father, so she couldn't have been a spy for him. Even after defending Irene, Zeus sentences her to death and tries to kill her with his lighting bolt, but Apollo defends her long enough for her and Bruce to use Apollo's sun necklace to teleport them to the Island of Delos.

Part Two[]

Apollo arrives at the cabin and tells Irene and Bruce that some of the Gods from Olympus have sided with them. The Gods included are, Artemis, Aphrodite, Hephaestus, Dionysus, Poseidon, and Hades. As they gather up their forces, Irene is given a Lava Sword and they gather their forces to protect Irene's family. Zeus attacks Minnie. but Irene defends her and attacks Zeus. The Civil War begins, with gods and goddesses attacking gods and goddesses. After Zeus throws Bruce into a wall, it causes Irene to go into a rage. She attacks Zeus and almost kills him, but her eyes start to glow green and she lays on the ground. Apollo then says that she is getting her first full Prophecy.

Part Three[]

Irene is given a Prophecy, Apollo and the others go back to Delos to heal up. They receive a message from Zeus to head to Olympus and that he has called off the Civil War, but places Irene on House arrest in Camp Half-Blood for a year. Bruce is given an internship by his father and leaves, while Irene goes to Camp to start her house arrest and is uncertain about her future.

Queen of Tartarus: Year Four[]

Irene, now sixteen-years-old, shows around two new demigods, Luca and Lavender. Her house arrest in Camp Half-Blood ends, but she is later approached by her father who brings Bruce from the forges to get her help to reform the primordial council. As they arrive at their base, Irene and Bruce begin their relationship. They are given maps by Tartarus to find the other primordials, Irene and Bruce are given a map to find Pontus and Nyx while Luca and Lavender are given a map to find Gaia and Erebus. Irene and Bruce find Nyx and Pontus, while Luca and Lavender find Erebus. When they find Gaia, she captures them saying that she'll only let them go if Irene comes to her alone. Irene finds Gaia and as Gaia releases Luca and Lavender, she attacks Irene, but she later breaks down saying why did Tartarus have her with a demigod when he promised that he stay with her. Irene uncomfortably comforts Gaia and leaves. When their first Primordial meeting ends, Tartarus tells Irene how he met Irene's Mom, he was in his first human body and she was on a quest to find out what happened, but as it turned out, her quest was to fall in love with Tartarus and have Irene, which is why Gaia is so mad. Irene leaves with Bruce and they go back to Camp and have a dinner date.

Queen of Tartarus: Year Five[]

Irene, now seventeen-years-old, plans to marry Bruce when she turns eighteen. As they spent time together, they find out that a war between Poseidon and Athena is breaking out. Irene takes, Bruce, Her Mom, and her Grandmother into Tartarus to wait out the war. When the war ends out of a tie, they leave Tartarus and continue on with their lives.

The Primordial Prophecy[]

The Primordial Prophecy is a Prophecy said by Irene detailing the next events called the Primordial Nightmare, an event where the world is in ruins and there is nothing left but the primordials.

When the flame explodes and the sun goes down,

The Elders will form and the daughter will get the crown.

The three legacies will soon be born.

To stop the Primordial Nightmare from being formed.

And when the night begins and the shadows rise,

The new empire will then see it's time.

Abilities[]

Irene, since she is a Demigod, has a variety of abilities.

General Abilities

  • Superhuman Strength: Irene is capable of lifting and throwing things larger than her size, like most Demigods.
  • Superhuman Speed and Agility: Irene can run faster and is more agile than humans.
  • Superhuman Durability: Irene is durable to take blows form Gods, Monsters, Titans, and Primordials.
  • Superhuman Healing: Irene has a small healing factor that can heal cuts and bruises.
  • Superhuman Senses: Irene can sense danger and attacks.
  • Superhuman Stamina: Irene has more energy than a human.
  • Superhuman Reflexes: Irene can react faster than humans.

Demigod Abilities

  • Geokinesis: Irene can cause earthquakes and open holes to Tartarus.
  • Pyrokinesis: Irene can control fire, she can also control and create Lava, she is immune to its effects.
  • Monster Lordship: Irene can talk to and control any and all monsters in the Greek Mythology database.
  • Umbrakinesis (Limited): Irene can use Shadows to hear and to hide, but she can't shadow travel.
  • Power Suppression (Limited): Irene can suppress the powers of any Demigod, but only to a weak point, not to the point where their powers are gone.
  • Prophecy (Legacy Ability): Irene has the ability to see the future, but since she is a Legacy, it's only at a focus point that she wants. She does have the ability to make a huge Prophecy, but she can make small predictions as well, Example: A Car Crash or Rain, She can change the future, but it puts a strain on her abilities making the future more unpredictable for her.
