Isaac Lare is a monster hunter.
History[]
Isaac was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. His parents are normal civilians, with normal jobs. They know nothing of mythological creatures. When he was younger, his best friend was Allison O'Sullivan, and he was distraught when she moved away.
One afternoon, when he was sixteen, he was walking home late. He was suddenly attacked - bitten - and drifted into unconsciousness. When he awoke, he found himself completely healed. After many hours of research and experiments, he reached the conclusion that he was now a vampire. He hides his true identity from his parents, and continues to try and live a normal life. He discovers other monsters, and begins to hunt them.
Blood-Stained Memories[]
Allison returns to Toronto, believing that she found a lead on her parents killers. Will she discover Isaac's secret?
Appearance[]
Isaac has short-cropped, curly brown hair. His eyes are dark brown in color. He is quite tall, and his skin is fair.
Personality[]
Isaac is pretty quiet and serious, although he has been known to crack a joke at times. He is very protective, and doesn't trust people easily. Isaac is afraid to tell his parents about what he really is. He has authority issues. person alive that knows what he is is Allison. Isaac's biggest flaw is his need to make a difference. He believes that life is wasted if it doesn't make a change.
Abilities[]
- Superhuman Strength - Isaac has unnatural strength.
- Superhuman Speed - Isaac has unnatural speed.
- Emotion Manipulation - Isaac can easily manipulate his own emotions. He can dilute, or weaken, certain emotions, to the point where he does not have to deal with it anymore. He can also strengthen emotions, in some cases to motivate himself.
- Semi-Immortality - Isaac does not physically age and cannot catch diseases. He is not, however, completely immortal, for he can still be killed.
- Telepathy - Isaac can sometimes read people's minds. Whether this ability works depends on how well Isaac knows the person.
- Hypnosis - Unconfirmed.
Weaknesses[]
- Decapitation - If Isaac's head is severed from his body he is immediately killed.
- Staked - If staked in the heart, Isaac will be killed.
- Holy Water - Holy water is capable of harming Isaac.
Relationships[]
Mr. and Mrs. Lare[]
Mr and Mrs Laihe are extremely sophisticated people, and thoroughly disapprove of Isaac's general behavior. Around halfway through Blood-Stained Memories, they formally disown Isaac.
Allison O'Sullivan[]
Isaac was always close to Allison, and finds it easy to become close to her again, even if they haven't seen each other for years. He sometimes becomes flustered around her. Allison and Isaac are currently in a relationship.
