Layla is a strong-willed young woman who usually speaks truthfully but is willing to lie if necessarily. She is courageous, determined, and set on defending her family and Hades at any cost, even if she must sacrifice her life to do so. She constantly insists that she is a warrior and general above all, and that her gender is of little importance to her and her role. She is resolute in following her own morals, regardless of the more viable, yet underhand, tactics being available.
Layla is, beyond all else, very stoic, emotionless, perceptive, and dry-humored; this is presumably due to her shrouded childhood past. A high-achieving person, she is closed and is rarely-manipulated herself for fear of her retaliation, which is said to be as frightening as facing Hades himself. Most of all, she thinks of herself as merely a General, and a soldier of Hades, even mentioning as such to her enemies; becoming very enraged when Hades is insulted in her presence and murders those who do so. In Hades`s words, Layla is his most loyal soldier as well as a member of his family; anybody who even thinks of marring her skin is dead-meat before his rage.

Much of her personality revolves around her

Layla "Lily" Brightmoor is a Greek demigod, the daughter of Persephone and the mortal witch Lily Brightmoor and the twin sister of deceased Roman demigod, Octavian Brightmoor. She is known in the Underworld as the "Demigoddess of Revenge, Retribution, and Grudges", having held the record-number of grudges; 1.6 to 1.7 million. The half-sister of the Goddess, Melinoe, she is considered to be a calming presence in the Underworld but is a very revenge-driven person, considering that to be her main priority. The only daughter of Persephone, being the very evidence of her infidelity, as well as the main source of Hades`s anger; in sharp contrast to her half-siblings, she is a hardened warrior, as well as a General in Hades`s Undead Army. She is currently in a relationship with Violet Midford, also a Demigoddess and a General in Hades`s Undead Army.

History

Early Life

"I am the evidence of my mother's infidelity, and as such I am not treated as good as you."

–Layla explaining her circumstances to Violet

Layla was born on July 31st, 1987 as the "daughter" of George and Lily Brightmoor: however George wasn't dating Lily when Layla was conceived, yet decided to adopt the baby as his own child. Several months later, her younger twin brother, Octavian Brightmoor was born; the couple having decided to name their only son after a Roman Leader due to their shared love for history. The little speckles of happiness she had in her happiness made her happy, until tragedy struck their family.

A man by the name of Voldemort murdered her loving parents fifteen months later, depriving her and Octavian of a normal life, free from the horrors of the Wizarding World War. Trying to protect the orphaned children, Albus Dumbledore decided to leave them on the doorstep of the Dursley`s home, confident that they would protect and raise them as if they were their own children.

Unfortunately, such an act yet born out of protectiveness and love towards the orphans, caused seething rage and anger to rise in Persephone. She went by herself, retrieving her daughter and step-son, in the process breaking the Ancient Law forbidding a semi divine child being raised by its godly parent. Despite the anger of Hades, Layla quickly became Persephone's favorite child and shared her love of mischief with her immortal half-sister Melione. Persephone later revealed her reason for conceiving Layla with Lily, and it was to protect Humanity from harm.
