Metis
~2 weeks later~
I walked down the hall toward my room in the Olympian Palace. I entered, and just as I was about to shut the door, I heard a voice behind me, my name in a rushed whisper, "Metis."
I turned and saw that Zeus had appeared right outside my door. I smiled. "Hello." Zeus, in the weeks we'd been on mount Olympus had gained a kind of leaer's status among his siblings, something I admired. Then my thoughts were interrupted by something I did not expect. He kissed me.
I pulled away. "Zeus-" He silenced me with another kiss. This time I didn't pull away. I closed the door.

Gaea
Three gods. That is what I saw in my most current, restless dreams. The first wore full battle armor, so I could not tell what gender they were, but I assumed from their fighting style they were male. All I could divine about him were his parents- that wretched traitor Metis, and my grandson, Zeus. In fact, Zeus was the father of the other two as well, though I did not know their mother. Someone not yet on the Olympians side, another traitor. One was a boy, and one was a girl, but they moved with such swift accuracy I could not figure out much else. Except for one thing- these three would be the turning points in the war. These three, if allowed to exist, would bring an end to my son Kronos. Not directly, but if my children the Titans were to maintain their rule, these three must be stopped. I moved my consciousness into Zeus's dreams.
You have made a vital mistake, my grandson.
What do you mean? his wary voice came back at me.
I hesitated only a moment as I planned what I would say. Any son of Metis by yourself is destined to assurp you, just as you plan to do to your own father and he did to his before that. My lie threatened every man's greatest desire- power.
You mean, if we win, I am to be king of the world?
You miss my point.
I felt realization click in Zeus's mind as he realized what I was saying. What do I do?
The same thing your father did to protect his rule.
But that didn't work.
Yes, because he addressed the problem directly, without thinking, and therefore left a witness to his act- your mother.
What do you- you want me to swallow Metis?
It is the only way Think on this, my grandson.
I retreated from his mind, feeling rather pleased with myself. One down.
