Katherine's POV
"Can We rest for a minute? We have been walking for hours!" Cheynne complained. Josh and Christopher both stop on their tracks to look at Cheynne but I can sense that they we're looking at me too since Cheynne and I were walking a couple of steps behind.
"Cheynne's right. We got to rest." I told them. They both nodded and took out some food from their back packs. Some of the food were from the Filipino girls in the Hundred Islands. I remember one of the girl's warning. "May mamamatay sa inyo." The first guardian said to not take the old Aphrodite's granddaughter's warning too lightly. What does it means? Mamatay? It just doesn't make any sense!
"Hey Kat are you listening?" Cheynne asked.
"Huh?" Cheynne sighed. She clearly knew that I didn't listen to any of thing things she said.
"I said the next test might be about..an invisible being."
"An invisible being?" I asked. Cheynne nodded.
"The first test was to test our cooperation and combat ability. Which we pass because of Chris' s quick thinking of calling Adeline to help us but seeing she's not here right now we need to depend on ourselves. The second test was about our selflessness. Which put us all in danger. So I'm thinking the next test would be about the four of us trusting each other. I know Chris and Josh doesn't get along. We might have some problem with this but other than that I have a good feeling that we'll pass this test."
"Don't be so confident Cheynne. You have seen the first guardian, she was an immortal daughter of Hemera and the second guardian..I don't even know what he is. The third..if you're saying he's invisible then what kind of being is he?" Christopher asked.
"That's easy to answer Mr. Know- it all. He's a demititan. A son of Leto, the goddess of invisibility."
"Or she might be a she."
"Who said that?" I asked. Everyone shook their heads. Then suddenly Cheynne scream.
"Gho-ghost!" She was right it was a ghost. A ghost of a girl about our age. She was floating in mid air.
"I'm not a ghost. I'm a daughter of Melinoe and catch me if you can!"
"What's the point of this game?" Christopher asked Cheynne.
"Agility?"
