Third Person POV
Squish, squish, squish, squish. The ground outside of The Godslingers 300’s base was quite wet, as it was raining quite a lot while they were gone.
The shortest girl—Destrey—was dragging her long white-and-gold staff behind her, getting it quite dirty. She sighed lightly. The girl loved killing monsters...and killing things in general. But lately, they haven’t been either 1.) Getting any fights or 2.)They lost every one they got into.
It was getting annoying.
Destrey threw her staff into the air, and caught it, spinning it around before pushing it into the ground. “I can’t take this!” She exclaimed angrily. “Arcreios has to be making these monsters more powerful somehow...and that one we saw yesterday...it looked like nothing I’ve ever seen before...”
The red-headed boy sighed.
“No duh, Destrey.” He whispered. “Like...it’s been going on for awhile...at least three weeks now.” Kyu says thoughtfully. Dan, a kid with gold eyes and white hair walks up behind them.
“What’s with the weird look?” Dan asks Kyu. Kyu looks back at him, blinking. He didn’t answer him.
Everything felt pretty weird after what just happened...it wasn’t normal.
Rin Carabaa walked next to Kyu...well, close for her. And “Close” was about three feet away. She had black hair, her bangs and a few other parts of her hair were dyed crimson red.
“Guys...just get over it.” Rin says. She knows what’s on all their minds. What happened back there. But to be honest, Dan saved her life back there...she had to re-pay him in some way. She thought she was as deadly as Cyanide. Hence her nickname. Though...debt weighed her down. She wouldn’t be weighed down. “We all have our secrets.” She says with a shrug. They all just glanced at her.
Rin sighs as they walk back into the Headquarters. Basically, they went to bed right away, no one wanting to think really deeply about anything, only wanting to drift off into a dreamless world where all the pain of reality would be numbed, even if only for a few short hours.
